Michelle Madrid-Branch is founder of Adoption Tribe Publishing and The AML Foundation (Adoption Means Love).

A former Emmy-nominated television news journalist, she is now author of two nationally and internationally acclaimed books on adoption: The Tummy Mummy and Adoption Means Love: Triumph of the Heart.

Michelle is a person of international adoption and is also the adoptive parent of a little boy from Russia. Michelle brings a deep and personal passion to her work as she brings awareness to the millions of children around the world in need of ‘forever families.’

In 2006, Michelle was presented with the Governor’s Award for Outstanding New Mexico Women and was also inducted into the New Mexico Women’s Hall of Fame. Governor Bill Richardson and First Lady Barbara Richardson acknowledged Michelle’s adoption work both at home and abroad.

Michelle’s book, Adoption Means Love: Triumph of the Heart was named as a: “Top Inspirational Book for 2006,” by Dolce Vita Magazine.

In 2005, Michelle was featured in Woman’s Day Magazine. She has been called a “World Voice for Adoption,” by Adoption Australia Magazine. Her work and message have also been included in countless publications across the country and around the world.

In 2004, Michelle was honored with the Congressional Angels in Adoption Award. US Senator Pete Domenici nominated Michelle saying, “I am amazed by Michelle’s hard work in promoting the real truths of adoption and her dedication to making a difference in the lives of children.
